I was so excited when early summer I got asked to review Say Please Lunchbox Love – Original Lunchbox Notes again (see review from last year). Unfortunately, where I live our kids are still not back in school due to a labour dispute and it sucks! There is only one good thing about the whole thing–I don’t have to pack my sons lunch! Ok Mamas, show of hands, how many of you dislike packing lunches? Most of you are a week or so into the school year and I bet already the doldrums are setting in, unless you make cute little bento box lunches with cheese carved to look like the Slinky Dog from Toy Story or something equally
annoying awesome. All the power to you if you are totally into packing amazing lunch boxes but that is so not me.
When packing my sons lunch I would love to mix it up a bit from time to time but since my son insists on the same sandwich everyday I will need to sprinkle in some love into his lunch another way. These cards are so sweet, with positive notes and trivia to make your little one smile. With sayings such as ‘You make me proud’ and ‘I love your sense of humour’ to highlight what makes your child special to you to positive reinforcement cards like ‘Be Calm’ and ‘Count your blessings’ you can choose a card suited to what your child needs to hear on a given day. It kind of feels like I am packing a little hug in my sons lunchbox!
They have 80 Kids packs to choose from and even sets of them for the full year. Even if your kids are grown they have teen, adult, girlfriends and co-worker sets that all look great.
I can’t wait for my son to head off to kindergarten and I hope he knows how proud I am of him. If he is a little unsure, he will be reminded of it at lunchtime!
