We attended a 5th birthday party this weekend. I loved the Super Hero theme. Superman, Thor, Spiderman and more! The mommy did such a great job with stations all around her yard for all the little ‘crimefighters’. Her mother made a cape for each of the kids to take home and they were a hit! My son is on day 2 of wearing his Super Hero cape.
Here are some pictures of all the action!
|All the kids chose a cape and mask upon arrival.|
|Squirt the Villains Station. The hostess placed pictures of different comic book villains around the
yard for the little Super Heroes to find and squirt.
|A bucket full of water squirters ready to go.|
|Bubble blowing station.|
|How cute is this cape?|
|Silly string ready to go.|
|Shoot the villain with silly string. Bug aimed the can the wrong way and sprayed himself in the head.
Sigh only my kid—but a warning it can be done so make sure to keep an eye on the kiddos.
|Bean bag toss. She had quite small bean bags and just painted up these boards.|
|Another bean bag toss board with smaller openings
|‘Super Heroes Pose for the Camera Station’. Kids can pose under the comic strip words.|
|Not too much posing out of Bug and his little friend.|
|Great little cupcakes to boost energy! Cute cupcake picks add a Super Hero touch as well as the icing colours!|
|Time to stop for some refreshments! Love the berry punch with berries floating in it. It tasted great and
it restores power!
|Water with lemons and ice. Very refreshing indeed!|
|Watermelon on a stick. The stick does make it easier for kids to pick up and handle, she used a
tongue despressor sized sticks and added cut out little comic strip words.
|The “Bad Guy Human Piñata”. Not quite sure how she talked him into it but the ‘bad guy’ was given a
bucket of candies and the ‘heroes’ were given squirt guns….sounds fun right?
|The ‘bad guy’ on the run. When ever he got hit with water he would throw candy out of his
bucket and the kids would scoop it up. This is a great task for a favourite childless uncle!
|A wet slide provided a fast exit from the Heroes Secret Fort!|
A huge thanks to Amanda for letting me post photos of her sons party. She was lucky to have the help of several family members in creating all the props as well as on the day of. All photos were taken with my iPhone while chasing my two kids around so I wish I could have gotten you all better photos think you get the gist of the awesome-ness of this party. We and several other families had a fun day. It is amazing how long two hours can feel when surrounded by excited kids! I know her childless helpers commented on it a few times!
