HOMEMADE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
With the cold turn in weather i have been dressing the boys warmer. They are wearing extra layers and I have been looking for a warm pair of slippers for Smashie to keep his little tootsies cozy around the house.
I stumbled upon Esthers Hands out of Kelowna quite by accident on Facebook and her handmade baby boots are swoon worthy.
I could never in a million years make these which maybe is part of the appeal to me but Eszter is truly skilled in her work. Her booties are made of a chunky acrylic/wool blend that is super soft against baby and toddler skin. She has added a non-skid leather sole to keep new walkers and crazy toddlers upright. The colour combinations she has created are gorgeous, and if you have colours you would like she will work with you to create your perfect pair. Best part? Her price! The price depends on the size needed but ranges in general from $18-$35+, which is considerably less than most pairs I have seen.
Eszter also makes the cutest hats and lovies for little ones. I know I have said before how I truly appreciate when I can find sweet boy stuff in a sea of pink and because she herself is mom to a toddler boy she gets it. Check out this frog set and the owl stuffie/blanky. Smashie would have adored the owl when he was a baby to snuggle with.
Do you crochet? You might want to follow Esthers Hands on Facebook as she shares free patterns regularly. If you are Hungarian she has included some patterns in her native language as well!
Pathetic at all things yarny like myself? Follow her anyway-she has amazing creations at reasonable prices. She does all orders through Facebook
Are you a photographer? Her pieces would make the sweetest newborn props.
Now for some fun, Esthers Hands has a $20.00 credit to give to one lucky reader. Open to Kelowna and Area only. Check out her album here and let me know below what you like best. Good luck.
