I made this Vanilla Orange Frosty drink as a special treat for the boys on the first day of school this year. It was a big hit! With the flavours of a Cream-sicle for breakfast how could it not be?? We now have it a few mornings a week, I even like to enjoy it on the patio before the kids wake up.
You will need to freeze some orange juice into cubes, which I like to do the night before. They are ready to go in the morning! And that is the most complicated step–if you can fill an ice cube tray you are set!
- 2 cups pure orange juice
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- NIGHT BEFORE
- Pour 1 1/2 cups of the orange juice into an ice cube tray. Freeze overnight.
- In a blender combine the frozen orange-ice cubes, remainder of orange juice, milk, honey and vanilla extract. Blend until it is a smooth slushy consistency.
- Enjoy immediately.
