We went to my mom’s boyfriend’s place for Easter dinner and they were expecting a big group so I made one of my favourite salads to bring with. I like the sweet of the berries and salty of goat cheese together. This is the first time I have added the pears and they were really nice. Because there was somebody with a nut allergy I did not add any but toasted pecans would have been really nice on this. Read on for EASY recipe!
The quantities are for a big group, scale down if making for just one or two people!
- 8 cups washed greens, I used a Super Greens combo but spinach or a mesclun mix would be great as well
- 2 cups slice strawberries
- 1 sliced ripe pear
- 1 cup crumbled goat cheese
- optional—1 cup toasted pecans
- dressing(s) of choice
Make salad just shortly before serving or pears will brown. Toss and serve with dressing(s) on the side. Enjoy!
Here are all the products I used but use what you like and have available to you!
The salad makes a very pretty presentation with the colours. Great looks and taste, my kinda
I used 2 sheets of Press and Seal wrap and put my serving utensils between the overlapping layers keep everything together. Just a little travel tip!
