|Working together reading the treasure map|
We are pretty lucky out west to have moderate weather but even at that we are going a bit stir crazy. On one yucky day the boys wanted to play pirates but the sword fighting got a bit intense, there was crying from both boys (yeah, awesome for my headache).
I drew them a couple of treasure maps with locations around the main floor. They ran from room to room trying to find a gold coin hidden somewhere near the clue item.
They worked together really well with Smashie being the map holder and Bug leading him around. Really Smashie had no clue what was going on but if Bug was excited he was excited!
I drew the map so they had to run back and forth across the house to expend maximum energy and take extra time. At the end they had to rescue their stuffed toys from a ‘mud pit’.
They played about 5 rounds which was enough time for me to get dinner on the table. Even with having to re-hide coins every 5 minutes I still got more done than if they were not getting along!
