I love fall. One of the special things for me about fall is the reconnection with all my Sorority sisters. We take a summer break and it is crazy how much can happen over a couple of months. Our September meeting is spent catching up on everything and just enjoying each others company.
I was excited to host our first meeting and thought I would try out a new recipe. I remember seeing this recipe everywhere last year and now I had an excuse to make it. This would be great for kids and adults

- 1 tub cream cheese (250 g) (room temp)
- 1/4 of a cup icing sugar
- caramel ice cream topping sauce
- Skor bits
- apples (all the recipes I saw used Granny Smith but that is not really my favourite apple & they are not usually grown locally so I tried a few varieties)
Cream together cream cheese and icing sugar.
Spread cream cheese in a circle on plate, top with caramel. Does not need to look like a perfect circle, your apples will cover the messy bits.
Sprinkle with Skor bits-again these help to pretty up your presentation so don’t stress too early about having a homely dip. Start fanning out your apple slices.
Voila! I used a 1/2 of the recipe on this side plate sized dip. I used Granny Smith apples but I found them too tart for me so the second time I made it I used a full recipe on a dinner plate and used a Fugi and a Golden Delicious. It is all about preference.
****New and Breaking Information****
This rocks as a dip with Teddy Grams and graham crackers.
Discovered this late one night!
The rest of our fall spread was pretty yummy as well. Recognize the Layered Curry Dip? Garden tomatoes and plums from my tree were laid out as well as meat and cheese plates. One can never go wrong with a cheese plate with these ladies!
Glad to be back into routine and so happy to spend a great night laughing, eating and catching up with my sista’s. Next up for us? An outing to a fall fair, did I mention how much I love this time of year?
